Tonopah, Nevada, was born from silver. In 1900, a prospector named Jim Butler stumbled onto one of the richest silver strikes in American history, and overnight a dusty crossroads became a boomtown. Miners came from every direction, drawn by the promise of fortune buried in the desert hills.
But the mines were hard work. When the shifts ended, those miners needed a place to sit down, cool off, and remember the sweeter things in life. In those days, every good town had a soda fountain where you could get a cold drink, a scoop of ice cream, and maybe swap a story or two.
The Silver Fountain is our way of bringing that tradition back to Tonopah. We named it for the silver that built this town, and we run it with the same grit and pride that those early miners had.
